Bea Ahbeck Photography

Choosing a wedding photographer who is right for you is one of the most important decisions in preparing for your special day. You entrust the photographer to create keepsake memories of your most beautiful moments as a couple. It is important to pick someone who fits your style and someone who will deliver the type of images you will treasure forever.

There are a few basic styles of wedding photography -- traditional, artistic and photojournalistic . We will give you all three! We document your day as it happens, and make sure you get all the classic images and timeless portraits you will display proudly in your home and share with friends and family. We will listen to you and your needs for the day, and together we will work out a custom shooting schedule that fulfills your wishes.
Bea Ahbeck Photography Weddings is a collaboration between two professional photojournalists with a combined 25 years of daily shooting experience. We have been photographing weddings together since 2002 and are well tuned to together cover every aspect of your day.

A photojournalist has a unique ability to capture fleeting emotions and create a well-rounded picture of events. They have crucial experience in anticipating moments before they happen, and they easily blend in with people from all walks of life in all kinds of circumstances in order to stay on top of what’s happening. They observe the light and incorporate it into their images to tell the mood of the day. Bea Ahbeck is a photojournalist with a decade of experience doing all that, and she and her partner offer their abilities as storytellers for your special day.

We work together to make sure we tell the story of your special day, and get all the little moments of your day recorded. I normally cover the bride as she gets ready, so you can feel confident that you are going to be comfortable with having that part of your day documented, and my partner follows the groom as he spends his last hours of bachelorhood. During the family portrait sessions one of us presses the shutter button as the other one makes sure your dress is in perfect order, captures candid moments of the awaiting family, and makes sure Uncle Bob hasn’t wandered off to the bar for his martini.

We offer our services in the East Bay, Peninsula, North Bay, Central Coast and Napa Valley regions without travel charge. Call us today for your complimentary consultation!
